Lava Lamp Web Cam Named One of 2008’s Most Interesting WebCams

SEATTLE – JetCityOrange’s Lava Lamp webcam (www.JetCityOrange.com/Lava-Lamp/) was named one of 2008’s most interesting webcams by EarthCam. Founded in 1996, EarthCam is the recognized leader in providing webcam content, technology, and software. A panel of VIP judges including actor Pauly Shore, NY Nicks assistant coach Phil Weber, singer songwriter Tommy James, and Beauty and the Geek winner Amanda Corey.

The webcam is focused on a pair of Lava Lites and is the only such webcam on the internet…. Now the magic of Lava Lamps is a mouse click away 24/7/365.

The lava lamp website in question is not realtime; it updates every 10 seconds. Ten seconds is a long time. There is no need to go to the website, because it looks pretty much exactly like this:

Maybe Pauly Shore isn’t the best judge of what’s interesting.

  1. I don’t think this is the new version of Lavarnd. The new site as I understand it, uses the background noise generated by a CCD detector enclosed inside a can, believe it or not. No more Lava Lamp random seeds, it seems. So this site is just for… Well…I dunno what it’s for…
