Was caused by some sort of boiler malfunction this morning. No one was hurt, and there was no fire, and the city kept on doing what the city normally does.

  1. Jeez, will people please stop spilling oil when working on boilers? Second time this month.

Also I’m super glad about this, as the air quality has grown shitty thanks to our temperature inversion, and we asthmatics are walking around with constant breathing difficulties. I appreciate the unnecessarily extra pollution, city.

  2. It was Seattle Steam. I had a good view of it from my office. The picture doesn’t do it justice – a huge thick cloud of white smoke, followed by a huge thick cloud of black smoke, then back to white smoke. It either means their wood burning boiler is having problems or Seattle has a new pope.
