  1. This was my favorite as well. But by people seeing this movie it is going to spoil the whole mystique about HUMP that is created by those who don’t even attend and think that the festival is just hardcore porn for perv’s. When actually almost every movie is humorous in some way and many have no nudity at all. It’s more like a “sick-and-twisted” than a porn festival. It may make it even harder to get tickets next year.

  2. If it wasn’t shown in Portland, that makes it that much more impressive that it won without the PDX votes… either that, or shenanigans are afoot!

  3. I call shenanigans. It wasn’t even that funny. Chuckle worthy, sure. But funny like Dance Belt, Sex Moves 101 or the Larry King video? Absolutely not.

  4. I think it was lame that a pro film maker not only was included in this amateur festival, but even included in the options for voting. It could have been shown as exhibition at the beginning and not included on the voting sheet. Also it was just a rehash of last years winner in many ways. Boo.

  5. You had to see this film with an audience to appreciate how funny it was — it killed.

We’ve had films from pros before — professional local pornographer Rodney Moore has had films in HUMP!, and people have used professional porn actors in the past. Which is why we call it “amateur and locally-produced porn,” not just “amateur porn.”

Two films weren’t shown at one of the Friday night screenings in PDX — they got skipped over, due to a technical accident. It didn’t effect the final vote — the winners were so far out in front that losing votes didn’t impact them or change the outcomes in the first, second, or third place standings.

We save all the ballots every year from HUMP! — all 6K of them this year. Anyone wants to come in and do a recount is welcome to come in and do a recount. Counting the ballots took four people three days.
