I got a perfect 10. Apparently I’d make the ideal 1950’s housewife.
Listening to the Cattle Report is serious business.
come on, you can only get zero if you’re trying to be a jerk.
Why do I have the feeling Catalina would get a 20?
7/10 -that rates me having to “watch out” and having to “really work” if I want to hold onto my husband. Sounds right.
It’s his own fault for supposing a woman would be any good at cooking anyways.
Apparently, only white people married in the 1950s.
holy shit, that was depressing.
Ha! In 2000, in college, I found a quiz from the late 1960’s that was to help you decide if you should pursue marriage or a career. It was a list of characteristics, each that pointed towards one of your two choices. I remember TWO of the factors that instantly slanted you away from marriage and towards a job: being 5′ 6″ or taller. and being older than 25. ha!
@1 Me, too. I think I’ll go jump off a bridge now.
Of course the answers I wanted weren’t listed. For instance, #7 – the old flame? Wouldn’t that be a good time to suggest a three-some?
No surprise that all the correct answers were those that put the wife in the position of being submissive, demure and uncomplaining, so it was easy to score 100%, based on answering the way the survey expected women to behave, not how they might actually WANT to behave.
And in all seriousness, Chicken Fricassee is pretty damned easy to make…
I got 7 out of 10… does that make me a bad feminist?
@12 Yes and you should feel bad. Get thyself to a nunnery.
It’s not that I’d make a *bad* housewife, per se, just that I’m not yet *ready* … according to this comic, at least.
4:d “This IS your mother” … 9:d Moo loudly behind his back…
Well then, Paul, “Steer clear of marriage until you learn how to share, to trust, to love!”
I got a 7.
I got an 8! Woohoo!
I always get off on seeing the word “FLICK” in tightly-spaced all-caps: “Without a word, you fuck off the radio switch!”.
Ten out of ten. I’d make the best housewife in the universe.
So apparently for the most part the given options for a woman in the 1950s are: passive aggressive doormat, passive aggressive bitch, and awful harridan.
Also, I would apparently make a moderately good 1950s housewife. Aside from the beard and the penis.
@3 – He’s not trying. ( ; =
