You probably know Rachel Kessler best from her work with poetry performance groups the Typing Explosion and the Vis-a-Vis Society. Tonight, she’s debuting her brand-new memoir about being raised by Jesus freaks—it’s titled Christian Charm Workbook, which is a great name—with a multimedia performance and a handful of wonderful Seattle poets (including Stranger favorites Rebecca Hoogs and Sierra Nelson) who’ll be performing new work. Nights when the Seattle literary community comes out to celebrate the success of one of their own are always tremendously positive, happy occasions; you won’t want to miss this one.
