On Saturday, March 13, musician and Seattle icon Chris “Slats” Harvey passed away after complications from a hip injury. He will be missed by many. Please come pay your respects this Thursday, March 18. recommended

St. Slats Day, Thurs March 18, begins at Linda’s Tavern at 5 pm. Linda’s will have $3 whiskey sours—Slat’s drink of choice—and free pool from 5 pm-close. The procession will move, bar-crawl style, to the Comet Tavern, Cha Cha Lounge, and then The Funhouse, where The Lustkillers, The Greatest Hits, Broken Nobles, and Creem City play at 9:30 pm. Bring your Slats stories and photos, and hoist a toast.

  1. It would be great if some musicians or singers could show up at Linda’s Thursday between 5 and 7ish to perform some spontaneous appropriate acoustic material for Slats. Anyone know someone who can pull off Danny Boy?

  2. I DID MEET ‘SLATS’ ONCE ON BROADWAY , ABOUT …7 YEARS AGO….HE HAD A GIRL FRIEND AT THE TIME NAMED ‘AMY’….A LOVELY SWEDISH/ASIAN GIRL THAT I KNEW WHEN SHE WORKED AT DAN’S BELLTOWN GROCERY…REST IN PEACE..
