A who’s who of Major League Baseball greats were listed as possible witnesses as the perjury trial of former Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees ace Roger Clemens, 48, began last week in federal court. Clemens, a seven-time Cy Young Award winner, is accused of lying to Congress in 2008 when he testified that he never used performance-enhancing drugs. Among the 140 witnesses listed, prosecutors have included admitted all-star dopers like Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and Jose Conseco. 
Former Oregon State and National Basketball Association forward José Ortiz, 47, who played two seasons for the Utah Jazz and seven seasons in Europe before testing positive for steroids, was arrested after federal agents seized 218 marijuana plants and 40 rounds of assault-rifle ammunition at his house in Puerto Rico. Nike re-signed Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, 31, to an endorsement deal, nearly four years after the four-time Pro Bowler pleaded guilty to his involvement in an illegal dog-fighting ring. Over seven seasons interrupted by a 21-month stay in prison, Vick has passed for 14,609 yards and rushed for 4,640 more, while allegedly participating in the execution of eight dogs.

8 dogs isn’t that many, more were probably killed choking to death on left over chicken wings of people watching Michael Vick play football.
I must say that this is a very one sided article, with no real point other than people doing bad things, did we not all ready know this. Why single out sports in general, all kinds of people are doing bad all over the world, the only reason to write this article is to degrade sports in general. Not cool.
