Former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies slugger Lenny “Dude” Dykstra, 48, was charged with two counts of indecent exposure involving women responding to ads he placed on Craigslist, setting the Major League Baseball Record for most appearances in Sports Blotter (three). According to prosecutors, Dykstra—who has already been charged this year with grand theft auto, attempted grand theft auto, filing false financial statements, bankruptcy fraud, identity theft, and possession of a controlled substance—placed ads requesting personal assistant and housekeeping services, only to inform applicants that the job required giving him a massage; he then allegedly exposed himself. 
New England Patriots defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, 30, pleaded no contest to charges of simple assault stemming from a February 13 incident in which he allegedly groped the breast of a college-age cocktail waitress. Haynesworth, who signed a $100 million contract with the Washington Redskins just two years before being traded away for a fifth-round draft pick, will serve 160 hours of community service. Amateur boxer Bradley Hinkler, 20, received a life sentence for killing a father-of-two with a single punch outside a pub in Sheffield, England. His victim, Thomas Gower, died on Boxing Day.
