Dear Editor,

I was just curious to know why today’s paper had no story about the 30,000 people who turned out for the Bernie Sanders rally? But you did have SIX stories about the new Light Rail.

Regards,

Andy Hudson

Dear Andy Hudson,

The paper with the SIX stories out the new Light Rail—there were actually more than six stories—came out on Wednesday March 16th. The Bernie Sanders rally at Key Arena took place four days later, on Sunday March 20th; the Sanders rally wasn’t even announced until Friday March 18. Not to put too fine a point on it, but… “IT HADN’T HAPPENED YET” is the reason why we didn’t have a story in last week’s paper about this weekend’s Sanders rally. And until Keck springs for time travel technology, Andy, you will not find news stories in the Stranger about things that have not yet happened.

FFS,

Dan Savage
