• Today the President of the United States took time out of his busy press conference to be unkind to female reporters.
Trump to female reporter: “I know you’re not thinking, you never do.”
Trump: “She’s shocked I picked her, she’s in a state of shock.”
Vega: I’m not, thank you Mr. President.

• Also, President Trump sorta clarified, and sorta didn’t clarify some things about the scope of the renewed FBI investigation he ordered into his Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh:
President Trump sowed further confusion Monday about the scope of the FBI’s investigation into allegations of sexual assault against Brett M. Kavanaugh, offering little clarity at a news conference about who will be interviewed in coming days.
Trump said he is open to a “very comprehensive investigation” but suggested at different points that the probe would be guided by the wishes of Republican senators and that the FBI could decide whom to interview so long as it was “within reason.”
• Good thing it’s not Trump who’s investigating, because he heard Kavanaugh say some things during his Senate testimony that Kavanaugh definitely did not say.
At a press conference Monday afternoon, President Trump said he was “surprised” by how “vocal” Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh was about his drinking habits during last week’s public hearing in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. “I watched a man saying that he did have difficulty as a young man with drink,” he said.
In fact, as The Daily Beast notes, “During last week’s hearing, Kavanaugh denied ever having a drinking problem, saying that he merely ‘liked beer’ and still likes beer. “
• But hey, just be glad Trump doesn’t drink! (“It’s one of my only good traits,” the president said at today’s press conference. “Can you imagine if I had, what a mess I’d be?”)

Make sure you watch the above video to the end, when Trump, perhaps with alcohol on the brain, tells the reporter she’s “really had enough” and cuts off her next question.
• Coming soon to a presidential retweet near you:
“Pull Up Your Pants”
New song to the democrats for their disgusting treatment of Kavanaugh.

• And coming soon to an FBI report on Kavanaugh:
Charles Ludington, a former varsity basketball player and friend of Kavanaugh’s at Yale, told The Washington Post on Sunday that he plans to deliver a statement to the FBI field office in Raleigh on Monday detailing violent drunken behavior by Kavanaugh in college.
