LIVE at the Colisevm of Art: Summer Music Series
Do you like to consume art with a side of live music? Local arts publication PublicDisplay.Art has curated a free exhibition downtown in the century-old Coliseum Theatre that runs through September, and on select nights, you can find live performances from local musicians for $20 or less. This Friday, the 21+ after-hours series reaches its conclusion with a headlining set from local rockers Thunderpussy, whose epic and innuendo-laden 2019 KEXP performance—backup dancers included—lives in my head rent-free. Boogie, disco, and international funk DJ Supreme La Rock sets the tone for the evening with groove-inducing beats before sister-fronted surf-rock band La Fonda takes the stage. SHANNON LUBETICH
