The Christmas Ship Parade of Boats onshore viewing party provides a good vantage point for the twinkly floating procession.

There’s only three weekends left in 2024! Make the most of this one at cheap and cheerful events from the Christmas Ship Parade of Boats to Wintry Weekend Ice Skating Rink and from Black Artists Market to Candy Cane Lane. For more ideas, check out our guide to this week’s top events.

FRIDAY

WINTER HOLIDAYS

Christmas Ship Parade of Boats
We love that Seattle’s unique geography lends itself to unique Christmas celebrations, including a parade of sparkly boats. You can grab a spot on the lead boat, follow along in your own decked-out boat, or stake out one of the many excellent shoreside viewpoints. The parade will gather in Lake Union and head westward through the Fremont Cut, where a free viewing party will be held at Evanston Plaza. SHANNON LUBETICH
(Gas Works Park & Lake Union Park, $0-$76)

EverOut is The Stranger's new website devoted to things to do in Seattle and across the Pacific Northwest. It has all the same things you're used to seeing from Stranger EverOut Staff, just in a new spot!...
