FRIDAY

LIVE MUSIC

Deep Sea Diver Live at Easy Street Records
Local indie rock band Deep Sea Diver—led by singer-songwriter Jessica Dobson—will stop by Easy Street for a free in-store performance to celebrate their Sub Pop Records debut, Billboard Heart. The album’s lead single “Shovel” is upbeat, danceable, and would be right at home on a playlist nested between MUNA and Chappell Roan. Follow-up single “Billboard Heart” switches gears, evoking labelmate Weyes Blood with kaleidoscopic synths and powerful vocals, so I am excited to see which direction the rest of the album will take. The band will perform their new material followed by an album signing. The event is free, but pre-ordering the indie exclusive vinyl from Easy Street guarantees your admission. AUDREY VANN
