Seattle Musicians Celebrate Bright Eyes: A Benefit for Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund
Local musicians including Townsend’s Solitaire, K Van Petten, Arthur James, and Miguel Escobar will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Bright Eyes’ seminal sad boy albums, I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning and Digital Ash In A Digital Urn, by playing both albums in their entirety. I’ve been too afraid to revisit these albums, as I fear that what once sounded great to my lovelorn teenage ears will now read pathetic to my adult ones. However, given that proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, this is a good excuse to indulge in some good old-fashioned nostalgia. AUDREY VANN
