The Healing Heart of the First People of This Land
Intending to “[bring] healing to a sick world,” tribal member Vi taqᵂšəblu Hilbert commissioned composer Bruce Ruddell to create a piece inspired by two sacred Coast Salish songs. The result, Healing Heart of the First People of This Land, is a powerful 50-minute work that utilizes instruments that are native to the region.
