READINGS & TALKS

2026 Jack Straw May Reading Series
Three Fridays, three lineups, and an entire month dedicated to local literary talent: that’s been the energy of this year’s Jack Straw Writers Program May Reading Series. Now, the final installment arrives with another stacked evening of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and autofiction from the 2026 Jack Straw Writers alongside curator Claudia Castro Luna. This closing night features work from Sayantani Roy, BeeLyn Naihiwet, Natalie Pascale Boisseau, and Jean Ferruzola, whose collective work spans family memory, migration, resilience, wilderness, trauma, and identity. Part of the 30th anniversary of the Jack Straw Writers Program, the series is available to stream online via YouTube or Facebook. LANGSTON THOMAS
