Thursday may be the first day of spring, but the Washington weather is determined to rain on its parade. However, there’s still plenty of fun to be had this week at events from Kells 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Irish Festival to Snow Patrol and from the Seattle Moisture Festival to the 5th Avenue Theatre’s production of Waitress.

Kells 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Irish Festival
Kells’ 42nd annual shamrock-festooned celebration wraps up over a week of revelry today. As usual, Post Alley and First Avenue will be closed to traffic and covered by a large tent to support expanded celebrations, including rugby watch parties and performances by local musicians like the Belfast Bandits, Máirtín Ó Huigin, and U2 tribute band Vertigo Zoo.
