You could look at these guys and think they’re cheesers: too old to rock, one with thinning long hair, the other always wearing Little Edie-like headgear. But once you see the documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil you will know how cool these guys really are. They are really IN IT: their music, life, making it to the top, and their long-lasting friendship.
Anvil have been plugging away in the metal scene for the last 30 years, watching their contemporaries achieve success while they can’t seem to get a break. The movie is terrific: heartbreaking, funny, and entertaining. Go check it out—it’s playing at the Varsity.

At least they’re probably doing better than Goathammer Abortion.

Having never seen or heard of them (nach) I have to ask the obvious question: is it because they suck? I’ve been plugging away at the billionaire scene for thirty years and can’t seem to get a break; it’s because I suck at becoming a billionaire.
did you miss the memo that they played after the movie showed at El Corizon 2 weeks ago, dummy?
