Popularly known as the “horse whisperer,” Buck Brannaman is the American cowboy whose highly developed sense of empathy enables him to work miracles with unruly and damaged animals. In Cindy Meehl’s loving documentary, scenes of Brannaman doing his quietly dramatic work are interspersed with background info on the early hardships that made his gifts possible. So nothing else, like a Tom Skerritiffic SLOG Happy today, huh?
You planning on coming, Will? Fnarf’s sanity wants to know.
That presumes the sanity was there already.
PressPausePlay was great last night, by the way. So was My Afternoons With Margueritte.
The Buck showing is basically sold-out (standby only). It will be crowded, arrive early (if you have a ticket/pass and want your choice of seats). Arrive super duper early if you’re hoping to get a standby ticket. Oh, wait until it opens next month (at a Landmark theater, I’ve been told).
Kinda dumb to suggest a sold-out event, imo.
btw, you can view the current SIFF updates (which incudes listing which shows are on standby only) by visiting http://www.siff.net/festival/updates.asp…
