Tonight sees the release party for ggnzla (pronounced Gorgonzola) Records’ ggnzla Movie, a collection of (mostly) locally produced videos representing (mostly) the best contemporary punk and garage-rock outfits Seattle has to offer (and a few out-of-towners). Sometimes ranging into serious TV Carnage/Everything Is Terrible! territory (I’m looking at you, R. Stevie Moore and Sam Fantasy II!), the videos—with several scenes of the city—are varied, strange, and, most importantly, FUN. Butts, Spurm, and Grave Babies will play live sets, with videos from the DVD projected between sets. Also, ggnzla popcorn. More fun than a bucketful of stinky cheese!
