The only time I went to CCC was preceded by awesome pizza at Flying Squirrel, another little business that could. It could be an all-tiny-independent night!
CCC is awesome. There is going to be a showing of Capitalism: A Love Story there on the 24th (a Saturday) at 10:00 a.m. for $10. Another great way to help out this little place (while also helping elect Democrats across the state).
Could they play some better movies? I love the venue, but it is rare that I find something I actually want to watch there. I know all the hipsters ironically love the old classics, but seriously who wants to watch The Shining AGAIN?

As far as I am concerned the CCC is a missed opportunity to create an vibrant cinema arts center for us folks south of I-90. If I want to see Clash of the Motherfucking Titans, I will see it on a nice screen with good sound and stadium seating. The CCC financial problem being what it is, it seems that most of Seattle would agree with me. I would frequent the CCC if it punched within its weight; it would be an excellent site for foreign film, cult classics, midnight movies, and local film festivals.
This is also the second time that the owners have asked for a community bailout, and i would rather save my charity for the people that can really use it. The theater is going to fail; my only hope is that someone who knows cinema takes it over and makes it a successful operation. Hell, if I was twenty years older I take a shot at it myself.
Why not have raves there again? Like in the old days? The best raves of my life were there….back when raves were something to rave about!
If Doyle wasn’t a d-bag, more people would support CCC.
