What happened to Sayid, Sun, Ben, et al?

What year is it, anyway?

Will Locke be resurrected?

Will Jack cry big wet Jears?

Discuss all that and more on this week’s Lost open thread.

  1. I bet the corpse of Locke has been resurrected since everyone flashed back to 70’s dharma initiative time. Locke wouldn’t have been dead yet.

  2. I’m watching from CST, and I typed comment 3 ten minutes before I the episode started. I won’t spoil it for PSTer’s, but the first 20 minutes answer a shitload of questions. This has to be the most satisfying episode of Lost I’ve seen yet, and it’s only been 20 minutes.

  3. jack drives me crazy. “you HAVE to tell me” “we HAVE to go back to the island” “we HAVE to do this”, etc. ad nauseum. i’m your leeeaaader!

actually i kind of hate everyone (except hurley!) but i can’t quit this show. i love torturing myself every week.

  4. His name is Cesar, and he is affiliated with the lady who has Sayid in custody. I won’t say anymore, except the Walt scene is pretty cheesy.

  5. What happened to Sayid, Sun, Ben, et al?
Sayid and Sun went back to their safe homes(separately).
    Ben…not a clue. Maybe JIN knows. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What year is it, anyway? Only the Flash knows.(Unlike The Shadow, who doesn’t know anything.)

Will Locke be resurrected? I think so.

Jack is ALWAYS crying, just like Kate.

  6. OK:

    Jears!

Ben’s a bastard but I still kinda believe he’s the good guy.

Poor Locke- he’s so sad, and wtf does Kate know about loving anyways?! Fuck her.

I think that was a really good episode. Altogether, it felt like season one where they did the cool back stories.

  7. NOW reading the comments reminds me of where Sayid went. OOPS. Can’t imagine where he ended up on the island though.

  8. My question is, WTF happened to Locke’s wounds from, 1)The car crash he was in, hours before his death, and, 2)The ligature marks from his hanging?

The lady butcher, or whoever at the funeral home that did the make-up on Locke, did a helluva job…

  9. oh, and my two favorite current Lost rumors of the moment:

1)They’ve already filmed the last scene of the series, two or three years ago because it involved a young Walt…

2)Evangeline Lilly, (the irritating Kate) is reportedly looking for work and her reps are saying she is available for pilots currently shooting for series pickup for next fall…which wouldn’t necessarily mean we’ve seen the last of Kate, (this is Lost, after all) just that she wouldn’t be in every episode next year…

Please note that these are both RUMORS.

Personally, I think it’s more likely that Sayid gets offed this season…he doesn’t seem to have much left to do on the show, does he? His love interest is gone, he has no “powers” and doesn’t seem to be connected with the mythology of the show, so he seems very expendible.

  10. Yeah, I had the same question about Locke’s wounds as @ 27.

As for why Ben showed up on the plane with his wounds and signs of a royal ass-whipping (in last week’s episode) my theory is that he killed Penelope Widmore and she didn’t go quietly.

  11. (my theory is that Ben thinks he’s a good guy and has everyone’s long term best interests in mind … from his viewpoint … he’s kind of like Bush with a Brain)

  12. @28 Rumors or not, those are spoilers and should be marked as such so that people who don’t want to be spoiled can avoid them.

And Erica, Ben is with the plane crash survivors, amongst their wounded and appears to be unconscious. Remember, Locke saw him at the end of the episode?

  13. uh, no, a rumor isn’t the same thing as a spoiler. There are about 10,000 Lost rumors out there at any given time and 9999 came out of thin air. For all you, or anyone knows, I could have made that shit up.

If you’re that touchy about it, why are you on an open thread?

  14. this might make you feel better:

In case you haven’t heard, Zap2It’s Korbi is reporting that Lost star Evangeline Lilly has auditioned for fall pilots and that her reps have told TV producers she would be available for a show. And if Lilly were on another show that shot in the fall that would obviously mean a Kate-less season six of Lost.

    Unimaginable, right?

Well, we checked, and according to Lilly’s publicist, the story is “absolutely false.” A relief to be sureโ€”who has the time to brainstorm why Lost and Lilly might be parting waysโ€”but is there more to the story? Maybe a grain of truth in there somewhere? We’re still digging, so keep checking back.
