Nope, it’s not Lynn Shelton.
Cthulhu director Dan Gildark appears on the front page of the NYT Sunday business section:

Gildark is the C.E.O. running off with the moneybags. He is being chased by a cowboy. Apparently he posed for the stock photo a few years ago.
He says:
I am the new poster-boy for corporate greed.
Ha!

I hear Cthulhu is going to DVD soon with a director’s cut version commentary.
Should be fun.
he has a GW expression on his face.
Well, it’ll probably look better on the ol’ résumé than poster boy for a politician with no judgment or a pastor with no morals.
All that fraudin’ IS Hollywood’s fault.
Thanks, Mr. Gildark, for taking me one step closer to my lifelong dream of being chased down by a cowboy.
@1: If you think that “fun” is listening to two hours of them whinging about how awful their lives are and how we should think that Cthulhu isn’t a big steaming pile of shit because of their sob story…
@1 … um, no, that’s not how most Director’s Cuts are.
You really need to stop watchin pr0n movies and other Alan Smithee projects …
(dang meant @6 dang dang dang sorry)
Well done, Dan. Time to start the next film.
Cthulhu, isn’t that the lame ass movie that nobody on the fucking planet cared about except 1/2 the stranger staff?
I vote we spend some of the stimulus money paying this dude not to make any more shitty movies!
Eh, “Cthulhu” wasn’t really shitty: you need to get to more film festivals and re-adjust your meter of what “shitty” is 🙂
