The following two things are ineluctably true: 1) Betty White hosting SNL would be absolutely fan-fuckin-tastic; 2) NBC execs should be gang-raped by a troop of syphilitic howler monkeys.

Where is the origin of this photo, and is it real or done as a joke?
That thing that NBC should never do again was done by a black cook who “wanted to … make a meal that everyone would enjoy—and that I eat myself.”
At some point in American history it will be possible to say “fried chicken” or “watermelon” without being accused of being a racist. That menu sounds delicious.
I thought that menu sounded good, too.
If there were an Asian History Month (is there?), would it be racist to serve a buffet of sushis, stir fries and curries to be festive? What’s the issue? Those are fabulous foods, popular with, and the recipes probably in large-part developed by African Americans. Enjoy them.
Betty White is the best. A smart, funny, grounded, decent lady.
