King’s Hardware’s Patrick Swayze Tribute Month concludes with the man’s greatest film. Sure, Point Break is stupidโthanks primarily to the petrified-wood performance of Keanu Reeves and the script’s action-zinger dialogueโbut it’s also an amazing movie, with chase scenes that will steal your breath (pit bull toss!) and a lyrical quality that’s typically off-limits to stupid movies. Thank director Kathryn Bigelow, whose work here is exactly as amazing as in her Oscar-winning Hurt Locker. Bonus attractions: free popcorn, 28-cent hot wings, full menu and bar service, and “the deck will be heated if need be.” (King’s Hardware, 5225 Ballard Ave NW, 782-0027, 9 pm, free, 21+)
