Hey Charles, Peter Greenaway captures the lost-soul-embodying nature of windows best:

I’m not sure why this short film brings me so much joy—the dissonance of a peppy soundtrack to a laundry list of deaths, the use of the word “misadventure,” the math-check-inciting demographic ratios, the serene view of/through these windows when my window only reveals flakes of fucking cold streaking through the sky. Regardless, it’s a lovely way to start your morning.

  1. Now see, one of my specialties just happens to be squirrel brains and divinity candy. Now if you guys decide that you do want squirrel brains, I will have to go catch some as I just ran out of them the other day. It is quite easy to catch them. I use a gig and pole typically used for frog hunting. Of course the harvesting of the brains can make some queasy, but I have gotten used to it over the years. It is best to go ahead and crack their little skulls while they are still alive, that way it keeps the demons from getting at them. Of course it is hard to resist popping their little brains in my mouth right there on the spot –I have the same problem when I pick strawberries– but I will make sure I save plenty for you guys.
