    Seriously, RYAC is very very clear on what’s making Jim Stark a basket case: Those Damn Uppity Women. If his dad had only tightened his belt, slugged back a whiskey and smacked his wife back into the kitchen, the whole tragedy could have been avoided.

    If you think I’m exaggerating in the slightest, go see the movie.
