Sense8, the Netflix series in which eight strangers wake up suddenly sharing each other’s senses and skills, is ending. Though it was created by the nerd-royalty team of the Wachowskis and J. Michael Straczynski, the ambitious series never amassed the viewership required to fund a show filmed on location around the globe.
When Netflix canceled Sense8 in 2017, it got a lot of feedback from the show’s few but passionate fans, and it eventually agreed to fund a two-hour finale—available this Friday, June 8—to wrap up the story.
