Now THAT’S how you fucking lip synch for your life.

For full, spoiler-packed discussion, please continue after the jump.

MANILA LUZON: Prior to this week’s episode, I couldn’t care less about her. But dear God, her “Macarthur Park” lip-synch was ferocious. It was literally the best lipsynch-for-your-life I’ve ever seen, and I guess I love her now.

HOWEVER: There can be no doubt that Manila has probably performed “Macarthur Park” before (maybe this was covered in Untucked?) and I got the same sense of good luck with this week’s challenges from the doubly triumphant Shangela, who I know for a fact has dabbled in stand-up. But still, that postmodern pimp-ho was truly inspired. Relive the magic at Jezebel.

Other things: Clearly, Raja, Manila, and Shangela will be the final three. And oh my, watching poor Delta Work lip-synch for her life while clad in that sad hot-body T-shirt was no fun….

  1. That bloated Delta bitch should have gone home weeks ago, after her atrocious Cher debacle. Fuck her. A drag queen without a sense of humor isn’t worth the considerable space she takes up.

  2. @3 I’m not sure you can equate Shangela and Glasscock to Tatianna. Frankly the only thing Tati had in common with Shangela and Glasscock is that all three were very convincing women (all made extremely attractive girls).

By the end of Season 2 the only one left I COULD root for was Tati. And though she wasn’t the most experienced or polished she had the most potential there- and was the only one even remotely likeable left at the final 4.

Shangela and Glasscock, on the other hand, are/were both mean-spirited, two-faced, and manipulative. And even regardless of personality their biggest problem is/was that they simply don’t have the basics of Drag down.

Sure Shangela is funny as a stand-up comedian. But this isn’t Ru-Pauls Stand-Up Comedy Hour. This is Drag Race. And Shangela’s makeup, her look, her ability to do anything about her hair/clothing/face without the help of the other girls is really pathetic at best.

And her atitude stinks. At this point I’m rooting for Yara Sofia, Raja, and Manila (the lip synch WAS incredible). I want Shangela off the show. Now. She’s kind of ruining it with her smug look of self-satisfaction and ego. It’s hard to watch her.

  3. @ 4: “Frankly the only thing Tati had in common with Shangela and Glasscock is that all three were very convincing women (all made extremely attractive girls).”

Are you high? Shangela does NOT make a convincing woman AT ALL. Am I the only one that can’t get past her 24′ hr 5’o-clock shadow? Jesus Christ. I hope if she does win Drag Race that she uses the prize money to get some gat-damn electrolysis.

If anything, I think Carmen is the one you could group with Tati and Rebecca Glasscock, she’s extremely passable and just as vapid as those two bimbos are.

  4. I’m loving Yara Sofia every week at this point. She’s gorgeous, and was absolutely hysterical during the stand-up challenge. In fact, I would have given her the win of Shangela, who was funny, but not nearly as original as Yara. Some of those jokes- notably the fur coat one- were definitely a little tired.

  5. I was glad to see that self-loathing brown nosing sycophant Delta Work go. I am so sick of everything that goes wrong some how being blamed on her fat, and then when another big queen has a sense of humor about she suddenly becomes ms. high and mighty.

She was like the fat girl in high school who the cheerleader said Hi to one day and suddenly became their personal toady. And bitch went home immediately after Stacy, who was supposedly inferior. How she could be such an insufferable pitty party and pompous ass at the same time was an amazing feat.

  6. As long as Manila and Raja are in the final three, I don’t care who else is there. I’m rooting for one of those two to win, and nothing else matters. Of course, I despise Shangela…..and the sooner she goes, the better. Shangela is just a bad, bad person….she actually reminds me of Sarah Palin strangely enough. Fake, thinks she’s speaking the truth, wants to be the “queen”, has no problem lying if it advances her needs….

  7. Raja shits all over those idiots. Her style is just miles beyond any of the rest.

Shangela is good for TV and the standup was definitely choice. Hopefully she sticks around.

Oh and Delta Work did totally suck good riddance. EVERY fucking workshop scene, she’s crying. “I can’t do this…” whatever.
