As mentioned here, Lynn Shelton was nominated for the Acura “Someone to Watch” award at the Independent Spirit Awards for My Effortless Brilliance.
And she won! She is a winner. The award includes a $25,000 grant, with which she will most likely create something winning that will win even more stuff. Congratulations, Lynn!

Good on her!
Shouldn’t it be Rolex who sponsors a “Someone to Watch” award? Acura should do “Drive to Succeed” or something.
Lindy you’re behind the times. Good thing they made you editor! This was a Saturday story not a Monday afternoon story.
Speaking of the Spirit Awards, who didn’t love Mickey Rourke’s speech? I think he’ll win an Emmy for it. (there should be an Emmy for Best Acceptance Speech)
I was wondering when you were going to get around to her. She even brought Sean Nelson onstage for her acceptance speech (and he played in Robin Hitchcock’s backing band).
