Here’s a magical idea sure to please all lobster-loving gays and fish-friendly musical-theater aficionados: The Oceanaire Seafood Room (1700 Seventh Avenue), in partnership with its neighbor the Paramount Theater (911 Pine Street), has launched a Musical-Theater Dining Club. Members will be able to buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public, and the Oceanaire’s executive chef Eric Donnelly will create a special three-course prix-fixe menu themed to each visiting Broadway show, down to a specialty cocktail.

The next Paramount show is Sweet Charity (October 24—29), a remarkably irresistible musical about the romantic misadventures of a hooker with a heart of gold, with music by Cy Coleman, book by Neil Simon, and choreography by Bob Fosse. If those credentials—along with a custom menu of delicious food—isn’t enough to entice you, chew on this: The title role in the Seattle production will be played by MOLLY RINGWALD. Let’s hope the Oceanaire creates a special Red-Headed-Whore cocktail in her honor.
