This week, Ounces will give away free grilled cheese sandwiches, chef Taylor Cheney’s Arabic walk-up window Yalla opens inside the former space of Tortas Condesa, beloved U-District institution Sureshot Cafe has announced it’ll be saying goodbye at the end of the month, and a new tribute to beloved dive Moon Temple will be coming to Capitol Hill. In the former space of the Mexican restaurant Chavez in Pike Place Market, the owners of neighboring Mercato Stellina have opened Bar Mercato, a new lounge with small bites like bruschetta and charcuterie and simple drinks like Negronis, Americanos, wine, and beer. Mercato Stellina’s menu of pasta and pizza is also available. The new bar also has a happy hour from 3-6 pm daily.
