I have a feeling Mr. Mudede will have something to say about these hungry bonobos who voluntarily opened doors to let a friend in to share a meal, “with no signs of aggression, frustration, or change in the speed or rate of sharing across trials.”

Those crafty bonobos are just recruiting for the inevitable sexual free-for-all.
Bonobos, our closest relatives, are also primarily herbivores, just like chimpanzees and humans. They sometimes eat dead animals, but if they are forced to eat a diet of primarily animals (such as in zoos), it causes health consequences, just like with chimpanzees and humans.
