KFC is now advertising the Double Down “sandwich” on college co-ed’s rear ends (“in order to reach their ‘key target of young men'”—lesbian co-eds who get attracted to a bunless experience are apparently collateral damage).
The young women human ass-billboards get $500 for rental of their posteriors and handing out KFC coupons, which at book-buying time has got to sound pretty good for just a little degradation.

- …it’s on your rear.
Let the punny headlines begin now.
Also: Why doesn’t this place (“Home of the fabled Ass Juice” since 1992) sue KFC for stealing its name?
Thanks, Slog tipper Charles.

Sex sells, and college kids go for degrading women. Who wulda thunk it?
Girl on the left has a bizarre ass. Looks like you could split wood with it.
Mm, yeah. I am not shocked by this. It’s not as if most of them don’t wear similarly asinine (yes, I went there) butt-slogan pants anyway. It’s a college thing.
I mean, if we’re going to pretend this is in the least degrading, let’s make more of an effort, shall we? Short-shorts, at least. Long sweatpants are practically dowdy. Actually, that’s kind of refreshing, if you think about it.
The pun angle I will take.
Looks good, but it would go straight to my ass.
You’re welcome.
A reminder that KFC’s food will go straight to my ass? Umm, thanks, KFC….you’ve just dissuaded me from eating there. Good job!
I think they should do a Lady Gaga, and make the outfit out of actual Double Down sandwiches.
this really isn’t worth getting worked up over. next.
I prefer my double-pen. action between the buns, not just with naked meat, no matter how well battered and fried.
Broken URL in first link, you left a line break at the end.
Doesn’t seem like something to get worked up over, if girls choose to do this fine. This is America we have freedom of choice.
I kind of expected them to be in Hooters-style short-shorts, not like they had just rolled out of bed after doing the Walk of Shame from Colonel Sanders’s frat house. There are so many things to be offended about with the Double Down — for example, it’s a fucking sandwich with the bread made from meat — that this actually does seem like they are staying classy.
Butt stuff on sweatpants has been around on campuses forever — on men and women — even on my tiny liberal arts college back in the Stone Age (mid 90s), and while I can see why targeting only women for this job might seem like a problem, given the crap that young women are expected to do for free, this doesn’t get my egregious-meter running. In others, 99 problems and this ain’t one.
Instead, I am worked up about the two Ezell’s outlets north of the ship canal closing. That is a local food concern more deserving of attention.
Decades ago I saw the most wonderful pair of men’s underpants: Burger King logo and catchphrase: “Home of the Whopper”
I’m more offended by your re-use of the term “co-eds.”
this post sucks.
Do I need to hand in my feminist card? Because I cannot bring myself to get worked up over this. $500 for wearing sweatpants and handing out coupons? That’s not a bad deal at all.
I think I’m more offended by the stupid press release than I am by what is actually happening.
it would be hilarious if all the skinny girls passed the money, pants & coupons over to their heavily overweight friends and completely backfired the advertisement campaign.
I see young women walking around with slogans on their asses all the time…it’s pretty common for college athletic gear, etc. At least now they’re getting paid for it…that’s prime advertising real estate, after all.
Sex sells. No problem there…but do you have to call them “co-eds” ? What is this,1952?
I don’t want none…
if that shit was organic … damn imma making this tonight. whos comin over for dinner?
I prefer bread on my sandwiches. Call me old fashioned.
“Co-ed” is shorter and snappier than “female college student.” I have no problem with the term and neither should anyone else.
@23: I dunno. What’s wrong with “college students”? Especially if you say “college co-eds” in the first place?
*Is* it a generational thing? Or an American thing? I’ve never heard anyone used the word “co-ed” here in Toronto to refer to anything but mixed-sex classes.
co-ed is a porn term for college girls. nobody uses it except in marketing
I see nothing wrong with this.
Baby got back.
@24 old people apparently used to have private colleges back east that were segragated by gender.
It’s a “used to live in the Northeast” kind of thing. Usually the poster moved here from New York, after they realized that a life of sarcasm, cigarettes, and stress living in a million dollar property the size of my kitchen was no way to live.
Crazy! Next they’ll be displaying advertising slogans and corporate logos on co-eds’ breasts.
Perhaps they can come up with a catchy name for such garments, such as “t-shirt.”
The campaign, like the double-down, is a low-cost way to attract a ton of press. Attaching sex to it is synergy.
I was very disappointed to find out the logos were on their sweatpants, not on their actual asses. I might buy one if I could eat it out from between her clenched buttocks.
What was actually interesting (for me) is the end of the article, where they mention that KFC provides infrastructure repairs to the city in exchange for advertising rights. Painting their logo on potholes they fill, putting ads for wings on hydrants they repair. KFC seems to be their answer for the budget deficits.
“their” budget deficit. not “the”
@28 they do that already. Try going to one of those spring break events.
@33, WiS not-grasping-obvious-satire fail.
Satire doesn’t work well on the Net.
Remind me to write a wiki about that.
Satire doesn’t work on dipshits like you, you mean. The rest of us didn’t have any trouble with it.
You’re a squashed toad, Will.
@31 – You’re right, that’s far more interesting/depressing than college girls wearing corporate logos on sweatpants. Now we’re privatizing civic infrastructure development in exchange for branding. Yes, this is the America we live in.
Hmmm…..a story about college girls’ butts and it ends:
Coincidence?
“if all the skinny girls passed the money, pants & coupons over to their heavily overweight friends”
Fat chicks have skinny friends? In Seattle, fat chicks seem to come in packs, clumping together like butter balls.
@39: Too bad for you that even the fat ones won’t fuck you.
Does any one else see the double enterender with a “Double Down” butt advertising campaign?
There’s a joke in there somewhere…If only I could put my finger on it…
Was expecting it to be way worse. Not that offensive, really. Similar to other butt logo apparel. While I think it’s tacky, it’s not scandalous.
You mean like the American Apparel ads on the back of the Stranger and the Weekly, @42?
