From Belltown’s bonanza of rising condominiums springs another
ground-level, glass-fronted bistro. Zeitoon, which is
paprika-colored and hallway-shaped, caters to a subdued, presumably
middle-age crowd with acid jazz, abstract art, and an
early-bedtime-accommodating schedule (Mon—Sat 10 am—10 pm).
As for food, the happy-hour menu abounds with affordable Middle-Eastern
fare: The $3 list includes hummus, spanakopitas, dolmas, and falafel
plates; for $4, there’s lamb or beef kebabs and chicken or beef pizza.
On the beverage menu, house wines (red or white) are $4, and drafts
(Alaskan, Pyramid, IPA, and Fat Tire) are $3. (Zeitoon, 2510 Fourth
Ave, 838-6011. Happy Hour Mon—Fri 3—6 pm.)
