Pro tip: Donโt call it โhard cider.โ For some reason, cider aficionados (who are suddenly numerous) look down on this. Maybe we just call non-hard cider โapple juiceโ now? In any case, donโt let the fact that itโs trendy keep you away from the deliciousness of our friends the apples (and pears!) made into alcoholโciders are drier, more nuanced, and better than ever, and theyโve always been good. Washington Cider Week has so many tastings, parties, etc., it lasts 10 days, September 4 through 14. See the Northwest Cider Association website for your many, many cider options.
