Adana chef Shota Nakajima is planning to open an Osaka street food-inspired eatery next door to Salt and Straw and Redhook Brewlab on Capitol Hill in March or April 2019. The restaurant will be called Taku and feature kushikatshu, Japanese deep-fried meat and vegetables on skewers. Targeting the late-night Capitol Hill crowd, the space will also feature a Suntory Whisky highball machine, seasonal tempura ice cream from Salt and Straw, secret menu items that can only be ordered in Japanese, and selfie-worthy bathroom decor.
