Bumbershoot’s musical lineup is exceptional this year, one of the best in recent memory. While Sunday’s bill is slightly more loaded with greatness, Saturday is no slouch, either. Highlights include New Orleans bounce queen Big Freedia; local soul-jazz badasses McTuff; dirty-minded Detroit rap maverick Danny Brown; soulful, yacht-rockin’ farmboys Donnie & Joe Emerson; Elvis Costello and the Imposters; Seattle rap luminary RA Scion; soul-gospel legend Mavis Staples; simmering Sub Pop rockers the Afghan Whigs; and hiphop immortals the Wu-Tang Clan.
