Halloween parties were made for bands covering other bands! One of the best things Black Lodge does every year is the Decades Cover Night—a night where “Seattle bands will blast you with nostalgia and freakish vibes” by covering songs from roughly the last five decades. In years past, Pony Time covered Bikini Kill, Smiling covered the Beastie Boys, and Naomi Punk covered System of a Down. This year sounds equally promising, with Chastity Belt, Dude York, Rose Windows, So Pitted, Gang Cult, and many more signed up. Plus, there will obviously be a costume contest, so don’t blow it! (Black Lodge, 8 pm, all ages)
