Ugh. New Yorks dead, and you’re next.
>>No one ever wrote a song called “Fuck Seattle.”
Ummm . . . because nobody gives enough of a shit about Seattle to care one way or another?? It’s a milquetoast city that doesn’t provoke strong feelings either way. Especially not in the popular imagination outside the PNW, where nobody really thinks about Seattle at all.
Quinxy Punx wrote a song called Fuck Seattle
@2: But you care. YOU CARE.
Fuck you, New York! Gently with long strokes. Mmm, you like that. Such a sexy bitch.
@3 Nope, that song is called “Nuke Seattle.”
Bellingham’s Yogoman Burning Band have a song called “Seattle Sucks.”
@6 And Thorns of Life wrote a song called “I Hate New York.”

PiL’s “Seattle” comes pretty close.
In fact, Robyn Hitchcock wrote a song called Viva Seatac.
@5 Eat a bowl of fuck.
New York’s alright, if you like saxophones.
Although that Postal Service song… This Place is a Prison, I believe? Man. Nobody from the outside needs to talk any shit when our own can write such fitting and scathing lyrics. Listen to that song in January and feel the Seasonal Affective Disorder wash over you in waves…
@10 You eat a bowl of fuck.
Let’s all eat a big steaming bowl of fuck! ALL OF US!
@12 Don’t talk to me
@13 Gently, with long strokes?
And no one wrote an entire album called “Seattle is a Frozen Shithole“, with track titles such as “Seattle is a Dogshit Dildo” and “Die Seattle Die Die Die Fuckers Die” either.
@2–Exactly right!

The Business also wrote a defamatory song called “Holiday in Seattle” but like the Slapshot song, it was well past both bands’ primes.
That slapshot record also has the terrible song “Rap Sucks” too, Choke is now the Andy Rooney of hardcore.
The chorus in LocalH’s “California Songs” ends with “and fuck New York, too.” I feel like that should count for half-credit or something.
I think the Trachtenberg Family Slide Show Players had considered such a song, but it wasn’t _family_ enough.
But NYC gets them. Seattle wins.
Sounds like a love song.
Yeah, “Seattle Sucks a bigass choad” -YBB
