• Last night, A$AP Rocky capped off Memorial Day Weekend by surprise dropping an album a week ahead of its announced release. Word came that At.Long.Last.A$AP—the follow-up to 2013’s Long.Live.A$AP—would arrive at midnight, a week before the scheduled June 2 street date, then it actually appeared on iTunes about 45 minutes before the re-appointed hour. But don’t worry. No matter the time of day Rocky turns up, some kind of scandal is always sure to follow.

On the track “Better Things,” Rocky seizes the opportunity to vent about an apparent relationship with Rita Ora. What’s even more surprising than the sudden album appearance are Rocky’s references to Ora’s “big mouth.” Given that there has been exactly zero press about the two, this qualifies as a most gentlemanly disclosure, to be sure. If that’s not enough to snag your attention, perhaps you’ll be interested in hearing about his drug-fueled orgies, confirmed by pal iLoveMakonnen.

• Beach House will be releasing a new album later this summer. Over the weekend, I was listening to Teen Dream, thinking about how it is one of my personal “perfect” albums, and wondering when Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally were going to grace us with some more tracks. (I’m psychic.) The duo will drop their fifth LP, Depression Cherry, on August 28. There’s no Seattle date listed on the tour yet, but I’d wager that Sub Pop will get them out here for us at one point or another. Also, the vinyl copy comes with a pretty nifty red velvet cover.

• For the low-price of $129.95, you could get your Dad his very own artisanal foodstuffs box curated by none other than Billy Corgan… himself! (Stereogum helpfully pointed out that it does not include any pumpkin ingredients.) A collaboration with speciality market company Farm to People, selections will include, “unique vegan and paleo treats,” for those parents with food sensitivities and refined palates. I will say, for all the shit I give Corgan re: popping up in the oddest of places, you can’t knock the guy’s hustle. He’s infiltrating both tea shops and wrestling networks, all while handpicking delicious snacks just for you (and your dad). Can organic cat treats be far behind?
Now let’s all read about how we need more female rock critics (hear, hear) and listen to the new Disclosure single:
