Beloved at the time of its release, Nas’s lithe 1994 debut, Illmatic, has since earned a permanent place near the top of any list of best hiphop albums of all time. Tonight at the Moore, Illmatic gets an amazing multimedia commemoration. First up: a screening of Time Is Illmatic, One9’s hour-long documentary that dives deep into the album’s creation and the social milieu that inspired it. Then, Nas takes the stage for a special live performance of Illmatic in its entirety. (Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave, stgpresents.org, 8 pm, $42.50)
