Northwest-based musician Joe Plummer (drummer for Modest Mouse, the Shins, and many more) has started a podcast called Tour Stories (Ruinous Media), on which musicians recount outrageous anecdotes about their misadventures on the road. Each season of Tour Stories will explore a new theme, with season 1 focusing on fraught encounters with the law. The first episode is live now, and it features Brian Teasley (Man or Astro-man?, the Polyphonic Spree, St. Vincent, former head writer for the Chunklet zine) talking about a huge misunderstanding at an airport security check.

Future episodes will include “Dale Crover [Melvins drummer] and the Texas Turnpike” (airing November 28), “Ted Leo and the Pullovers” (airing December 12), “Michael Cera and the Case of the Missing Bass” (airing December 26), and “Jessica Curreri. Polizia” (airing January 9, 2020). Go here for more info.
