Poster of the Week

I recently asked Nat Damm—Akimbo drummer, hair model, and poster machine—how he manages to maintain such a high production rate (approximately 2–4 posters per day, he estimates). “I have a crapload of old books,” he replied, “clip art, old anatomy books, illustrated dictionaries, and other stuff like that.” This month he’ll be displaying posters from his last six years of work, as well as selling limited-edition screen prints at 20twenty in Ballard. With over 1,000 posters under his belt, I wondered how he stays inspired. “I listen to Sabbath,” he explained. “That helps a lot.”
