Oh dear. Frank Ocean has cancelled his upcoming Sasquatch headlining appearance, citing “production delays beyond his control” (vague enough to mean almost anything). There’s even talk that the reclusive R&B artist may also cancel the slate of upcoming festival performances he has planned this summer in Barcelona, New York, Los Angeles, and Denmark. Sasquatch, which takes place this Memorial Day Weekend at the Gorge, was quick to find a headliner replacement.

That replacement is LCD Soundsystem, who’ve been laying low lately recording their much-anticipated fourth album. Guitarist and band member Al Doyle insisted in a tweet that LCD Soundsystem was not booked just to “repeal and replace” Frank Ocean, but was asked to “help out.”
Sasquatch! We’re not here to repeal & replace Frank Ocean; I’d like to have seen him too… we just got asked to help out, so let’s dance!

This isn’t the first time Ocean almost played Sasquatch. The singer was on the docket to headline a second weekend Sasquatch Festival in 2014 that was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
As for LCD Soundsystem, they’ll surely be playing a couple of new tracks they just released, including this one:
And Frank Ocean fans who bought tickets to Sasquatch, you might just have to make yourself happy with this for now:
