(Crocodile) In her young career as Kairos, former Pollens member Lena Simon has yet to make a disappointing track. Her sound seems to have emerged fully formed and perfectly articulated, a melding of electronic pop and Fleetwood Mac-style guitar rock, with Simon’s lilting vocals and philosophical lyrics tying it all together, particularly on standout track “Undermine.” The juxtaposition of catchy/brainy and heartfelt/heady can bring to mind the Postal Service at their absolute best, and it’s not difficult to imagine Kairos breaking out in the same way. Tonight, she celebrates the release of her debut EP, joined by crowd favorites Dude York and “Seattle’s most mild-mannered rock band,” Sundries. KYLE FLECK
