HELIO SEQUENCE HEADLINES AN INTRIGUING LINEUP

(Nectar) Portland’s Helio Sequence are generally reliable purveyors of widescreen, shimmery, pretty alt-rock, and have been for the past 15 or so years. They’re road warriors, workhorses, and consummate professionals, and probably will be until they call it quits. Now, let’s talk Minden: this is on some addictive, falsetto-flecked retro-futurist pop tip, and it’s pretty goddamn great. Even better, they reportedly bring the heat live. And rumor has it openers Rose Windows have been quietly amassing new desert-psych tricks up the sleeves of their wizard robes, so get here on time, you stoner you. KYLE FLECK
