Hesher underdogs Strange Wilds play Highline on Saturday.

It’s time once again for our weekend roundup of concerts around town, and we’ve got some bangers for you this go-round, from reunited post-hardcore crew the Fall of Troy, to mellow indie heroes Yo La Tengo, to acid jazz ensemble Low Tones. As usual, if none of this excites you, there’s about 200 more shows happening around town this weekend, and they’re all on our Things To Do calendar.

FRIDAY
1. Yo La Tengo
The understated indie heroes take the stage at the Neptune.

2. Simon Shackleton
Simon Shackleton’s heady, off-kilter techno comes to Kremwerk.

3. Youth Lagoon
Kathleen Tarrant says this about the bummer pop of Youth Lagoon: “It is stridently honest, heartbreaking, dramatic, and will bring you waaayyy down while holding you very, very close.
