Who did you vote for mayor?
Cary Moon.
Why?
I just really like her message. I really like her plans for more low-income housing and I love that she was an urban developer. I think Seattle needs some serious urban planning with the mess the whole city has become.
Who did you vote for council position 8?
I don’t remember.
Jon Grant or Teresa Mosqueda?
Not sure. I have a photo on my phone. I can’t remember though off the top of my head.
That’s fine! Oh wait—you have a photo of your ballot on your phone?
I think I do. I usually take one. I voted along with the Stranger on a lot of things.

Who did you vote for mayor?
Jenny Durkan.
Why Jenny?
Why? You know, a lot of the time when I’m torn between candidates I’m actually swayed by who they’re endorsed by, and I felt like Jenny Durkan had better endorsements.
What about for position 8 with Teresa Mosqueda and Jon Grant?
I voted for her.
Why?
I don’t exactly remember what his credentials were but— You know, sometimes when I’m just like “both of these people look reasonable.” I look at the endorsements. Sometimes I feel a little stronger about the candidates themselves. Because this is such a liberal city, we get all these liberals running. That’s fine by me, except I feel like I need to move to Kansas or someplace so I feel like my vote counts.
