SOUTH PARK:Seattle police are
investigating the city’s 15th homicide this year after officers found a
body riddled with bullets near a North Seattle motel on August 9. SPD
spokesman Mark Jamieson says a jogger called police around 6:00 a.m. to
report a man down in the street in the 13300 block of Stone Avenue
North. The victim was a white male in his 20s… HALLER LAKE: Police arrested four alleged members of the
Sureños Villanos 13 gang following a shooting in the early
morning hours of August 9. Just after midnight, police received reports
about shots fired in the 1000 block of South Sullivan Street. Witnesses
reported seeing a white SUV roll by a house on the block before someone
in the vehicle opened fire, striking a man inside the house. About 10
minutes after the shooting, SPD detectives pulled over a white GMC
Jimmy along East Marginal Way South and took four men, all between 16
and 24, into custody. Officers found two handguns in the car. According
to police records, the shooting was between rival gangs fighting for
turf and respect. Records say members of SV13 got into an argument at a
gas station on 14th Avenue South and Concord Street with members of the
Norte gang, accusing them of crossing out SV13 tags in the area.
Members of the Norte gang left the area, but the four SV13 members
allegedly followed them and opened fire. The victim in the shooting was
taken to Harborview with non-life-threatening injuries…
